The Waterloo Region District School Board found one of their trustees violated their code of conduct, but he will not face any further punishment.

By a vote of 6-2, the school board agreed that trustee Mike Ramsay was in violation of the board’s code of conduct for his comments in a radio interview in May. The board also voted to not levy any formal sanctions against Ramsay.

The allegations stem from an interview Ramsay gave to 570 News in the spring, in which he said an investigation of trustee Andrea Mitchell’s accusations that trustee Ted Martin had verbally harassed her was “corrupted.”

Ramsay claimed that Woodcock was retaliating after he complained to Ontario’s ombudsman about the way the original code of conduct investigation was handled.
