The taxicab stolen at syringe-point from a Kitchener driver has been located by police, but the man who stole it remains at large.

Tuesday night, a taxi passenger was taken to the area of Weber Street East and Wilfred Avenue.

Before getting out of the vehicle, he brandished a syringe and demanded the driver leave, then drove off in the cab.

Waterloo Regional Police say the vehicle was found Wednesday on Patricia Avenue in Kitchener and is now undergoing forensic testing.

Police continue to search for a man wanted in connection with the incident.
