Waterloo Regional police say both of the major malls in the K-W area were hit by thieves early Tuesday morning.
Police were called to Conestoga Mall around 1:10 Tuesday morning for a report of a break and enter. Two men broke into The Bay, smashed glass display cases and stole jewelry.
Just forty-five minutes later, police responded to Fairview Park Mall. According to police, the same two men broke in to The Bay, this time grabbing watches after smashing a display case.
Officers located the suspects in their vehicle not far from the scene, but they fled at a high rate of speed towards the highway. Due to public safety concerns, police did not pursue the vehicle.
The suspects are described as white males. One was wearing a grey hoodie, dark coat, white runners and white gloves. The second man was wearing a blue hoodie, khaki pants, dark shoes and a dark balaclava covering part of his face.
