Two Centre Wellington residents are facing charges after allegedly assaulting police and paramedics.
Wellington County OPP say they were called to a Centre Wellington residence shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to assist a medical care provider with a bedridden elderly man.
A man and woman who were also in the residence allegedly attempted to interfere with the medic and assaulted police while doing so.
Police and paramedics were injured in the incident, treated at hospital and released.
Leslie Irazoque, 53, is charged with assaulting a police officer, assaulting a police officer with a weapon and assault with a weapon.
Jeff-Leslie Irazoque, 27, is charged with three counts of assaulting an officer.
Both will appear in Guelph court July 16.
