The Salvation Army’s Christmas campaign is about a week and a half away from wrapping up for the season.

The annual drive is comprised of several different initiatives, including the kettle campaign and Toy Mountain.

As of Wednesday, combined donations had reached $162,148, but the total goal for the Christmas campaign is $210,000.

Anyone who still wants to donate to the cause is encouraged to do so online or by making a donation in person by stopping by their office at 75 Tillsley Drive in Kitchener.

Forty per cent of the Salvation Army’s budget comes from their national campaign. The money goes toward funding programs that help families in need of support, food and clothing.
