Brantford men charged with assault, guns seized from home

Two men are facing weapons and assault charges after a search at a Brantford home.

Officers received a report about an assault involving a firearm on Sunday. On Wednesday, officers executed a search warrant at a Sheridan Street home at 3:34 p.m.

By the time they finished the search, officers had seized two firearms and arrested two men from Brantford.

A 40-year-old and a 41-year-old were charged with assault, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of a weapon contrary to an order.

The 41-year-old man was also charged with an additional count of possession of a weapon contrary to an order.
