An SUV was pulled out of a pond Thursday morning following a crash near Breslau.

Around 6 a.m., police were called after a passerby noticed the vehicle partially submerged off Fountain Street, near Woolwich Street.

By the time officers arrived, the driver was nowhere to be found and the vehicle’s airbags had been deployed.

“We don’t know how many occupants were in the vehicle,” said Waterloo Regional Police Sgt. Rob Gregory.

For part of the morning, police used an inflatable boat to search the pond, but nobody was found in the water.
