Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate multiple break and enters in the region, they believe are connected to the same group.

Between Dec. 16 and 17, police were called to multiple break and enters. In many of the cases, the suspects entered forcefully by either breaking the windows or doors of the addresses, early in the morning.

On Dec. 16, at around 4:25 a.m., a plaza in the area of Hespeler Road and Sheldon Drive in Cambridge had three break and enters, according to police.

They said that five suspects would break the front glass for entry and enter the businesses in the plaza before stealing from cash registers.

Around an hour later, police said that a plaza near University Avenue West and King Street North in Waterloo was also visited, with four businesses being broken into and their cash registers targeted.

Police believe the same group was responsible for both incidents.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777.
