Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a Pride crosswalk was vandalized in Waterloo.

Police say it happened on Sunday at noon at the crosswalk in the area of King Street South and Willis Way.

“Through investigation, officers determined that a vehicle intentionally drove in a manner that caused tire markings on the painted Progress Pride flag,” police said in a media release.

The investigation remains ongoing.
