Pedestrian seriously hurt following collision in Norfolk County

One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision between a passenger vehicle and pedestrian in Norfolk County.

Police say around 5:45 p.m. on Monday, members from the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police with assistance from Oxford OPP, Norfolk County Paramedic Services and Norfolk County Fire Department responded to a collision on Bell Mill Sideroad.

“A passenger vehicle and a pedestrian collided,” OPP said in a media release. “The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The injuries are reported to be serious but non-life-threatening.”

Bell Mill Sideroad was closed for several hours between Rokeby Sideroad and Goshen Road but has since reopened.
