After spending four months taking a second look at a fire that destroyed a Woodstock apartment building and killed two people in 2011, police say they have not found any evidence of criminal action.
But just what caused the fire and the explosion that preceded it remains a mystery.
The Ontario Fire Marshal spent nearly two years investigating the fire before handing the file back to Woodstock Police this March.
Many witnesses were interviewed and re-interviewed, but police say they have now concluded their investigation pending the discovery of any new information.
The Ontario Fire Marshal continues to investigate, and further testing is being done by the Centre of Forensic Sciences.
