A Kitchener man pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of voyeurism and two counts of making child pornography.
The charges were connected to the discovery of a camera at Queen Street Wellness, a massage therapy centre James Ward ran out of a building on Queen Street in Kitchener.
“My client certainly feels a great degree of revulsion for his behaviour,” his lawyer, Bernard Cummins, said following the guilty pleas.
Court documents show that Ward surreptitiously took more than 1,000 videos of 259 of his female clients as they undressed before their massages.
Two of those clients were under the age of 18, which is why the child pornography charges were laid.
It is believed that Ward began filming his clients in 2008.
According to Cummins, Ward has not worked as a massage therapist since June, when he was charged after one of his clients discovered a camera hidden in the business.
Ward, 34, will be sentenced Jan. 27.
