An elderly Kitchener man died Sunday after his vehicle hit a tree in North Dumfries.

Police say the man was driving on Dumfries Road around 4:45 p.m. when his vehicle left the road and hit the tree.

The man, 85, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the man has not been released.

Police say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
