Curtis Henri will remain in custody for at least the first week of 2016.

The 21-year-old appeared in Guelph bail court Tuesday, where he did not request bail, and was then returned to jail.

He is charged with dangerous driving causing death, criminal negligence causing death, flight from police causing death and other offences in connection with the Dec. 13 collision that killed 24-year-old Grace Glofcheskie.

Police allege that Henri fled from a RIDE checkpoint, then became involved in a collision near Arthur and Rose streets.

Glofcheskie was a pedestrian in the area, walking home after walking a friend home.

Henri’s next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 8.

Also in bail court Tuesday was Chris Hanley, a 35-year-old man who was arrested with Henri at a Guelph motel.

Hanley faces a number of charges including seven counts of possession of identity documents, in connection with activity police found in the motel.

He too remains in custody with a court appearance set for Jan. 8.
