Half of a stamp collection belonging to Canada’s 10th prime minister is missing.

Waterloo Regional Police say the signed stamp collection was stolen earlier this year from Woodside National Historic Site in Kitchener, the boyhood home of William Lyon Mackenzie King.

Half of the stamps were found not long after the theft, but the rest of the stamps remain outstanding.

According to police, a 35-year-old Kitchener man faces charges of breaking and entering as well as breaching his probation in relation to the stamp theft and one other incident at Woodside, both of which took place between January and February.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the stamps is asked to contact police at 519-650-8500 ext. 4406 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
