The best female golfers in the world will test their skills in Waterloo Region for at least two more years.

The LPGA Manulife Classic will stay in Waterloo Region through 2015 and 2016, officials announced Monday.

What was not announced was whether the tournament would continue to be held at Grey Silo Golf Course in Waterloo, or move elsewhere in the region.

Grey Silo has hosted the tournament each June since 2012, and is doing so again this year.

Tournament officials estimate that the Manulife Classic provides Waterloo with an economic impact of as much as $20 million per year.
