Why should Ontarians vote for you?

Only the Ontario Liberals have a real, long-term, sustainable vision for our Province. Our Plan is about building a stronger Ontario through investments in education, health care, and becoming a leader in the world's new economy.

A strong economy gives us the ability to build a great quality of life right here in Waterloo Region. It allows us to continue the protection of our environment through clean air and water; to take care of one another; and to make sure our seniors have everything they need to stay active, healthy and in their own homes longer.

I believe that Kitchener-Waterloo's future is in its people.

On October 6th the choice is clear: we can go backwards or we can move forward, together and continue building an Ontario that leads the world in green energy, job creation, education and health care.

If you are elected as an MPP by your constituents, what will your top two priorities be?

I will focus on health care, specifically addressing the needs of our aging population, and educating our young people to ensure that Ontario has one of the most highly educated workforces in the world.

I will support seniors by helping them lead healthy, active lives in their own homes by supporting Premier McGuinty's Aging at Home strategy. Ontario Liberals will introduce home care by reinvesting in Doctor house calls. We will create the new Family Caregiver Leave, providing Ontarians with eight weeks job-protected time away from work. We will make staying in their own homes easier by creating the Seniors Healthy Home Renovation tax credit and deferring property tax increases.

I recognize that the key to Ontario's future is education. Under Premier McGuinty, education funding has increased by over 46%, class sizes are down, test scores and graduation rates are up and we've had no teacher strikes. By 2014 every child will have full-day kindergarten. We expanded post-secondary education and the trades by creating 200,000 spaces and are promising 60,000 more. We've increased student aid while limiting student debt and are promising the biggest tuition grant in Ontario history - 30% off tuition for college and university.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing Ontarians?

The biggest challenge facing Ontario is job creation. The world is getting smaller, more competitive and a new economy is emerging. Only by striving to get ahead of the curve will Ontario be a world leader in the new economy. Ontario needs to produce products and services that the rest of the world can't. The Ontario Liberal Plan provides Ontario the course for global leadership.

I understand that in order for Ontario to be the best in the world, we have to have the brightest minds. By investing in Ontarians we will give ourselves every opportunity to lead the world.

I will continue to make Kitchener-Waterloo one of the best places to live, work and raise a family. Ontario Liberals will triple the number of successful start-up companies which will bring substantial economic growth to this community. We will nurture our small businesses by cutting the small business tax rate to just 4%. We will turn Ontario into North America's leading green energy manufacturer. When the cost of fossil fuels become unsustainable, everyone will come to Ontario for clean energy solutions.

Our future is in Ontario's future. Only the Ontario Liberals have a plan to lead the way.
