For most people in Waterloo Region, construction of the Ion light rail transit system is causing disruptions and frustrations.
Intersections or entire streets are suddenly inaccessible. Others may see traffic delayed due to vehicles detouring from closed roadways.
Those issues are felt more acutely by business owners in affected areas, who aren't just slowed down by construction crews -- but also, in many cases, taking financial hits from slowdowns in business.
CTV's Abigail Bimman asked those business owners about their top concerns with construction, and found one common theme: communication.
In a special series, she's taking a look at what messages are being communicated along the 19-kilometre route, and who's responsible for communicating them.
