Waterloo Region has never seen a construction season like 2015.
Work to prepare the region's roads for light trail transit has combined with other projects on major arteries like Franklin Boulevard and Manitou Drive to produce far more delays and detours than drivers are used to.
There's so much road work taking place that some projects are expected to continue into the winter, which is normally a period of little or no construction.
CTV's Marc Venema is taking a look at all that construction, and what it means for three types of road users -- drivers, firefighters and snow plow operators.
