It's back-to-school time -- and for some families, that means back-to-school shopping!
Canadian parents plan on spending an average of $300 per child this year on supplies, clothes and other items, according to a survey.
That money doesn't get them as far as it would have 20 years ago.
Retailers are nonetheless counting on a back-to-school bonanza, thanks in part to the low Canadian dollar keeping some people away from cross-border shopping.
In a special series, CTV's Nicole Lampa looks at how much money is being spent, and what it's being spent on.
She also offers tips to get the best bang for your back-to-school buck.
