Hamilton Police are asking for the public’s assistance in their search for a man accused of abducting and sexually assaulting a young child on Saturday.
Officers were called to Sanford Avenue in Hamilton where they found the child who had allegedly been abducted and assaulted by a stranger.
Police have identified the man as 29-year-old John Adam Greene of Hamilton.
They say he should not be approached, as he is considered dangerous and may be armed.
Anyone who may have seen him is asked to call 911.
Police say he may be driving a silver 2000 Chrysler Neon, with the license plate ASJP 588.
Greene is facing abduction, aggravated assault, and sexual interference charges.
Police have not released the age or sex of the child.
