Guelph man faces more than a dozen charges, drugs and loaded handguns seized

A Guelph man is facing more than a dozen charges as part of a police investigation into drug trafficking.
Guelph Police executed a search warrant at a home near Huron Street and Ferguson Street just outside the downtown core on Thursday.
Police said a man was in bed at the time and had a loaded handgun.
After searching the home, police seized approximately $59,000 worth of suspected cocaine and fentanyl, two firearms with over-capacity magazines, loose ammunition, nearly $16,000 in cash and four counterfeit bills.
The 29-year-old has been charged with two counts of possessing controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking, possessing the proceeds of crime over $5,000, possessing counterfeit currency and several firearms offences.
He was held for a bail hearing.
