Fifth man arrested after gun pulled out in Guelph
Two men from Brampton are facing trafficking and weapons charges after they allegedly got into a scuffle in downtown Guelph over the weekend where one of them reportedly pulled out a gun. (Guelph Police Service)
Another person has been arrested as part of a weapons investigation that began in August.
Officers found and arrested two men from Brampton walking in the area. A loaded Glock firearm and more than $6,000 worth of suspected fentanyl was found during a search.
A few days later, police executed warrants in Guelph and Brampton, leading to the arrest of two Guelph men. They both faced drug charges.
On Wednesday, a 22-year-old Brampton man was arrested after he was released from Maplehurt Correctional Complex. He had been in jail on unrelated charges.
He has been charged with possessing fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.
