Businesses in Guelph are being warned to be on the lookout for counterfeit American bills.
Fake $20 and $50 bills have been spotted in the Aberfoyle area in recent times, Guelph Police said Wednesday.
The bills are typically used to make purchases, with the purchasers receiving Canadian money in return.
Similar cases were reported in Guelph earlier this year, with police saying the counterfeit currency had been distributed at city businesses.
