A 16-year-old boy is dead following a crash between a pickup truck and a motorcycle in Perth East.
The crash occurred around 11 a.m., at the intersection of Line 40 and Road 110 – just east of the Stratford Municipal Airport.
The driver of the motorcycle died as a result of the crash, Perth County OPP say.
He was identified later in the day as Jeremy Wickenheiser, a resident of Perth East.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a nearby hospital. Information on their condition was not available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
“We’re trying to determine exactly what occurred," Const. Kees Wijnands told CTV News.
Line 40 was expected to remain closed between Road 109 and Road 111 until around 4 p.m.
Road 110, a gravel road, is controlled by a stop sign at Line 40.
Police say Wickenheiser's motorcycle was eastbound on Line 40, while the pickup truck was travelling along Road 110.
