Police are searching for 48-year-old James Edward Powley, who hasn't been heard from since he left his home on Sunday.

Powley reportedly left his Eastbourne Street home at around 8:00 a.m. in his 2006 silver Honda Civic with the licence plate BKVB609.

He was apparently headed out to walk his dog, a Labrador Retriever. Police say he is known to walk along the river and trail system in and around the Brantford area.

He has not been in contact with friends or family since Sunday and based on information obtained during their investigation, police are concerned for his well-being.

Powley is described as a white male, 5'11", 180 lbs, with short brown/grey hair, blue eyes and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green sweatshirt and a black bomber style leather jacket. He occasionally wears glasses.

Anyone with information about Powley or his car is asked to contact Brantford Police Service Det. Grant Davies at 519-756-0113 ext. 2281.
