The boom lift that accidentally fell into the Waterloo Region Recreation Complex Swimplex pool last week was removed on Tuesday.
On Dec. 23, a boom lift being used to retrofit lights toppled into the pool. Two workers suffered minor injuries and the Ministry of Labour is investigating.
Now that the boom lift has been removed, the City of Waterloo says it will be able to fully access the damage to the pool and slide.
There is still no word on when the Swimplex will reopen, but updates will be available on the City of Waterloo Web site at http://waterloo.ca.
