Six people were taken into police custody following an investigation that began with police looking into a series of pharmacy robberies.
According to Waterloo Regional Police, a Cambridge man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a number of recent holdups at pharmacies in Cambridge and Brantford.
The same investigation led police to arrest a second man, who they say was involved in drug trafficking and had Fentanyl patches and painkillers on him at the time of his arrest.
After that, officers executed a search warrant at a property in Cambridge and arrested four more residents of that city – three women and one man.
All six face charges relating to drugs and criminal activity, police say.
