LONDON, Ont. -- A woman is recovering from a fractured skull, collapsed lung and broken pelvis and collarbone after a collision in London, Ont.

Local police say a 24-year-old London, Ont., man was driving northbound (on Oxford Street West) just before 5 a.m. on Friday when his truck collided with a westbound car (on Commissioners Road West).

Police added the man fled the scene and was captured with help from the canine unit.

Cory Hallet faces a slew of charges, including driving while under suspension and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

A court date has not yet been set.

The woman remains in hospital.
