An alleged sexual assault has Waterloo Regional Police on the hunt for a suspect.

According to police, an 18-year-old woman was in the area of University Avenue East and Regina Street in Waterloo around 10 p.m. Saturday when she was approached by a man.

After a brief conversation, the woman was allegedly sexually assaulted, although she did not receive any physical injuries in the incident.

The man was last seen walking eastbound on University.

He is described as Asian, 25 to 35 years old, 5’8” and clean shaven, with a muscular build and short, dark hair.

Police say he was wearing khaki shorts and a black hooded sweatshirt.
