Nearly 2,400 properties in central Waterloo lost power Thursday morning.
Waterloo North Hydro said the outage occurred around 8:25 a.m.
It affected 2,392 properties in an area roughly bordered by the Kitchener-Waterloo border, King Street and the Conestoga Parkway.
About 1,000 properties had power restored within 10 minutes. The remainder had their service restored before 9 a.m.
Information on the cause of the outage was not immediately available.
