Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a crash that has left two people dead.
It happened on Essex County Road just after 7:00pm Saturday at Rochester Townline Rd in Lakeshore, near Windsor.
Police say a Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling westbound on Essex County Rd 46 carrying a passenger when a Ford minivan travelling northbound on Rochester Townline ran through a stop sign and hit the motorcycle.
Both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle were thrown off the bike and sustained serious injuries. Both were taken to hospital by EMS where they were pronounced dead.
The driver of the Ford was not injured in the crash.
The intersection was closed for six hours while police investigated.
Names of the deceased are not being released at this time until next of kin have been notified.
Police say charges are pending.
