Police have identified the woman pulled from the Grand River Friday afternoon.

The body of 28-year-old Erin Howlett of Elmira was discovered in water near the Walter Bean Trail next to Riverbend Drive. 

A group of teens found the body in the river and called police around 4 p.m. Friday.

A post mortem examination was conducted Saturday and police are still awaiting the results of further forensic analysis.

The circumstances of the victim’s death are still under investigation by Homicide officers and divisional detective officers.
