Police officers were called to a fast food restaurant in Brantford to deal with a man who had fallen asleep in their drive-thru – and things only got worse for the man from there.

It was around 1:20 a.m. Friday when police were called to the McDonald’s restaurant on Stanley Street.

According to police, officers arrived at the restaurant to find the man claiming he couldn’t start his vehicle and trying to push it out of the drive-thru.

Police say they were able to start the car without any problems.

The man was then given a sobriety test, and taken to the police station for a breath test. Both tests were failed, police say – with the breath test revealing a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit.

An Ohsweken man is now charged with being over the legal limit, driving while disqualified and driving while suspended.
