A new business is bringing up to 150 jobs to the town of St. Marys, west of Stratford.
Guardian Bridge manufactures environmentally friendly pre-fabricated bridges and concrete forms.
The firm has taken over one-third of the former Dana property, more recently proposed as the location of the Green Arc Tire plant.
Plan manager Ben Dewar says “We are a family business and we’ve excelled on our own and it is now time to bring on new people that have the same vision that we do”
Initially 25 workers will be hired by Guardian by the end of July, with at least 150 employees needed to fully run the operation.
