Fire breaks out in Kitchener storage building

Some roads were closed in downtown Kitchener Thursday morning as firefighters worked to put out a fire in a storage building.

The fire was first noticed around 7:15 a.m. Before long, there were 15 firefighters on-scene on Charles Street at Cedar Street.

While the fire was extinguished quickly, firefighters stayed at the scene for some time to ensure it didn’t reignite.

No injuries were reported.
