A West Perth resident faces a number of charges including impaired driving bodily harm following a crash that injured 10 people, including six children.

The crash occurred Sunday evening on Perth Road 113 – also known as Embro Road – near Perth County Line 26, south of Stratford.

It was a head-on crash between a minivan carrying a Mitchell-area family of seven and a car carrying two adults and one child.

Two air ambulances were brought to the scene, airlifting two of the victims to a London hospital.

Overnight, a further five victims were moved to London.

“The teams at Stratford General Hospital … realized that three of the children needed to be transported to London, and two of the adults needed additional care that couldn’t be offered at Stratford General,” said Cliff Eggleton, deputy chief of Perth County EMS.

As of Monday, the remaining three victims remained in hospitals in Stratford and St. Marys.

Information on their conditions was not immediately available.

The driver of the car, 42-year-old Tammy-Lynn Dingman, faces charges of impaired driving bodily harm, dangerous driving causing bodily harm and refusal to provide a breath sample, and has had her driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.

She will appear in court in September.
