Waterloo Regional Police say they’ve nabbed the man who robbed four local banks by jumping over counters and walking away with cash.

Neil Mallaley, a 34-year-old Cambridge man, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the thefts, which occurred in April and May.

Three banks in Cambridge were targeted, as well as the Scotiabank branch at Fischer-Hallman Road and Erb Street in Waterloo.

The man has been charged with four counts of robbery, four counts of disguise with intent and three counts of drug possession.

He appears in court Thursday.
