Once again, a large number of pigs have been reported stolen from a farm in southwestern Ontario.

Huron County OPP say thieves broke into a barn on Krauter Line southwest of Listowel – near the community of Ethel – sometime between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning.

Once inside, they allegedly removed and drove off with 69 pigs, each of which weighs about 25 to 30 pounds.

The estimated value of the pigs is around $3,000.

Earlier in June, approximately 500 pigs were reported stolen from a farm near the Norfolk County community of Fairground.

That theft could have occurred at any point dating back to April 21, police said.
