Two Guelph residents face charges after stolen clothes worth nearly $40,000 were allegedly found in a home in the city’s north end.

Police say Thursday’s seizure came on the heels of two arrests made the previous day.

A 41-year-old woman and 47-year-old man had been accused of stealing items from stores around the Greater Toronto Area and reselling them in Guelph.

Following Thursday’s search warrant, charges against the pair were upgraded to include possession of stolen property over $5,000.

A small amount of marijuana was also found in the Greengate Road residence, police say, which led to charges of drug possession as well.
