The six area winners of the Lotto 6/49 jackpot claimed their prize at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) offices in Toronto on Monday.

The winners of last week's draw reportedly include three sisters from Kitchener who own the Prime Bar-B-Q Restaurant on Highland Road, and three of their regular customers.

The six ticket-holders, who will each take home a little over $1.1 million, headed for the OLG offices in a limo Monday morning to claim their prize.

OLG officials took some time to hand over the money because it was a group win, so each of the participants was interviewed separately on Monday afternoon.

The family-owned restaurant where some of the winners work is a long-standing fixture in Kitchener, but no one there has yet commented publicly.

The winning ticket, which was sold in Waterloo Region, was validated at the Happy Variety store in the same plaza as the restaurant on Thursday night.

Owner Seung-Min Boo says he was very excited, "Yes, they are very nice people, the restaurant is family faithful, they work together."
