Police officers were seen removing computers and other items from an uptown Waterloo medical marijuana dispensary on Tuesday.

Paul Schaan said he saw two police officers at the Waterloo Dispensary when he pulled in to get his prescription filled.

“It looked like they had just finished raiding the dispensary,” he said, adding that he asked police if that was what they were doing and they responded affirmatively.

The Waterloo Dispensary is located on King Street North near Bridgeport Road.

According to its website, it opened for business earlier this year and sells a variety of medical marijuana products and strains.

Police left the dispensary around 5 p.m. A spokesperson for Waterloo Regional Police said that their presence was part of an ongoing investigation into local marijuana dispensaries.
