Stratford Police got to remind a Toronto driver that talking on a cell while driving is not a good idea – twice.

Around 7:45 p.m. Sunday, a police officer on Ontario Street spotted a man talking on a cell phone while driving.

The 28-year-old man from Toronto was advised that Ontario has zero tolerance for using cell phones while driving.

A provincial offence ticket was issued and the driver continued on his way.

Unaware of the first occurrence, a second officer spotted the same man again talking on the phone while driving along Erie Street.

The driver admitted he had just received a ticket for the same offence, and was issued a second ticket.

Within 14 minutes, with the two tickets, he faced total fines of $310.00.

One of the officers involved noted that the vehicle involved was equipped with Bluetooth, hands-free technology. It wasn’t clear why he chose to use his cell phone.
