Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run in North Dumfries

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in North Dumfries on Thursday.

It happened around 6:10 a.m. on Wrigley Road near Dumfries Road.

Police say a 22-year-old woman was struck from behind by a vehicle heading east on Wrigley Road as she jogged.

The vehicle failed to remain at the scene, according to investigators.

The woman was taken to an out-of-region hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle police are looking for is believed to be a dark-coloured SUV.
