One person received minor injuries while another was charged after a three-vehicle crash in downtown Guelph.

The crashed happened just after 7 p.m. Sunday at Waterloo Avenue and Dublin Street South.

Guelph Police say a Nissan Rogue was stopped on Dublin, facing northbound, when it moved into the intersection and hit a Cadillac CTS heading westbound on Waterloo.

The collision caused the Cadillac to lose control, at which point it spun out, cross the centre line and crashed into an eastbound Mazda MPV.

The driver of the Mazda was treated for minor injuries, while the driver of the Nissan was charged with failure to yield under the Highway Traffic Act.

Police say approximately $23,000 in damage was sustained between the three vehicles.
