William Tassie was the first headmaster at what is now Galt Collegiate.
As the story goes, he didn't believe girls should attend his school -- and walked out when the province introduced co-education.
People around the high school say they can still sense unusual activity around Tassie Hall.
At the Homer Watson House and Gallery in Kithcener, its namesake and William Lyon Mackenzie King held seances.
