Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, the president of Croatia, will be in Waterloo Region on Monday.

Her visit is part of a four-day trip to Canada, which will also include stops in Halifax and the Greater Toronto Area.

The local leg of the trip will kick off with a meeting with Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic and members of the local Canadian-Croatian community at Kitchener City Hall.

“On a personal level and for the Canadian-Croatian community in general, the president’s visit is also a special moment that will be remembered for years to come,” Vrbanovic said in a press release.

Other stops on the tour will include the University of Waterloo and Communitech.
