A London man is facing an assault charge, after a fight erupted at a soccer game in Waterloo.
Police say two children from a London team got into a verbal fight during a girls’ soccer game at Rim Park. The incident led to their two parents, to start arguing on the sidelines.
Another parent at the game says the fight escalated, one of the parents involved in the screaming match hit the other in the face.
According to witnesses that person needed medical attention, but police say the injuries are minor.
The other parent has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, and released on a promise to appear.
