Fans have been rocking out to different sounds at McLennan Park all weekend long. Festival president Mark Higgins says in total, around 50,000 people attended.

“(It’s been) very successful. Everybody is very happy, police are happy, all the officials are happy, so it's been great,” he said.

Cindy Stevenson and her neighbour live right beside McLennan Park and say they've had no problems.

“Actually everything's been pretty good. Everyone has been pleasant, and (there has been) no ruckus around here or anything, so it's been pretty good,” said Stevenson.

With no major complaints, fans and those living in the area say they want to see Big Music Fest return next year.

“I thought maybe we would have a lot of pedestrian traffic (or) problems with drunks or something like that. We haven't heard anything, so this has been really well organized,” said a resident who lives nearby the park.

Mark Higgins says they were very pleased with the event overall and there are already plans in the making for a second Big Music Fest in Kitchener.
