It will be another week before jurors start hearing the case of Michael Ball.

Ball, 24, is charged with murder in connection with the death of Erin Howlett in the summer of 2013.

Jury selection for his trial took place last week.

At the time, jurors were told that the trial would begin Monday.

It has since been delayed by a number of unresolved legal issues, the details of which are subject to a publication ban.

During Monday’s legal arguments, Ball was sitting at a desk behind his lawyers.

He was seen taking notes and working on a laptop computer.

Several members of the public were in the gallery, including Ball’s parents and two of Howlett’s neighbours.
